Yuko Gulda and Claudia Hirtl organized the artistic configuration, the logo and the performance.
Adjacent to the event the gong in the bell tower in front of the UN building was rung by visitors as a symbol of the international memorial day of the victims of the atomic bombs dropped in Japan.
An enthralling highlight of the ceremony was
Kazuko Kurosaki’s dance, which she performed in the large plazza and pond in front of the UNO towers. The impressive and absorbing performance was viewed by an international audience and by many local guests.
Dr. Klaus Renoldner (NGO) and different representatives such as Mr. Duarte (UN NY)
read statements and messages.
In this way different approaches to the topic of a nuclear-free world was conveyed to the large audience.
